IMPROVING CAPACITIES OF ALBANIAN JOURNALISTS ON NEW MEDIA WITH A SPECIAL ANGLE ON GENDER EQUALITY

in Projects

Journalists and media professionals in Albania need further training to know and apply the new technologies. This renders professional training a necessity not just for young reporters, but also for experienced ones. Albanian journalists need to know not only the techniques and specific features of online reporting, but also the risks and problems that emerge with this reporting. They need to especially know the guidelines in reporting gender sensitive content, an area which is still seriously unknown to journalists. The project will target journalists from the main media outlets in Albania through eight three-day training courses on topics related to new media and professional skills, combined to gender equality.
