Albanian Media Institute is a partner to the International Visegrad Fund co-financed part of the program of this years Prague Media Point Conference.
The leading theme in 2019 is Whats Working. The principal objective of the Visegrad supported project is to showcase those examples of investigative journalism projects that have to overcome challenges posed by globalization, the internet, and populism resulting in shrinking revenue streams, and low audience trust. The goals of the project are (1) to level the playing field for media experts and investigative journalists from the V4 region and the Western Balkans with those in the rest of Europe and the world in terms of access to relevant information, skill building and networking. (2) To include in conversation experts from regions that tend to be underrepresented in large international gatherings. This project is a collaboration of KEYNOTE (Czechia), Transitions (Czechia), ResPublica (Poland), Denník N / N Press (Slovakia), School of Communications and Media (Slovakia), Balkan Investigative Reporters Network (Serbia), Albanian Media Institute (Albania)
